Vineyard Methodist School
History
      The Methodist Mission Society (MMS) of Singapore came to Thailand to bring  the Good News of the Gospel of Christ and to do mission in the area of social concerns, of which establishing a mission school is one of the activities.
      In the year, 2005,  the MMS  applied to open a  kindergarten that went by the name of Vineyard Kindergarten that has as its  facilities a concrete building with steel reinforcement, with 6 classrooms.
      In 2009, the school build a 4-storey building to accommodate the expansion of the kindergarten into a Primary school, of which the license to operate was issued in 2010. The name of the school was officially changed to Vineyard Methodist School of Chiangmai (in Thai: “RongrianSuanagun Chiangmai”). Currently the school is registered to operate from kindergarten 1 to Primary 6.
      The Vineyard Methodist School of Chiangmai located at Chiangmai-Sansai road,Tambon Sansainoi, Amphur Sansai, Chiangmai Province. It was officially opened on 17 January 2004.

A Brief History of the works of the MMS in Thailand:
    In 1994, the Methodist Mission Society, under the leadership of Bishop Wong KiamThau, came to the Province of Prathum Thani in Thailand.
    In 1997, the MMS expanded its works to the North of Thailand in Chiangmai province by establishing a mission center.
   In 1998, the Sanphranet Methodist church and the Vineyard nursery were established in the Sanphranet community, Chiangmai by Mrs. Sungwan Yeo.
   In 2003, the Muangthai Mettakij Foundation (MMF) was registered with Mr. Suchad Chiaranusati as the Chairman and Rev. Prasert Pornkiratikul as the Executive Director.
     In 2004, the Vineyard Kindergarten was established by Mrs. Sungwan Yeo under the MMF and was official dedicated to the glory of God by Bishop Dr. Robert Solomon, with the Governor of Chiangmai, Mr. SuwatTantiphat as the Guest of Honor.
     In 2010, the MMF completed the new 4-storey building.
    in April 2011 Vineyard Kindergarten was expanded into a primary school and was officially renamed the Vineyard School of Chiangmai.
   In 2012, the new building of Vineyard Methodist School of Chiangmai was officially declared open by the Governor of Chiangmai, Mr. PanadaDiskul and was dedicated to the glory of God by the Bishop Dr. Robert Solomon in Feb 2012. The school again changed its name to the Vineyard Methodist School of Chiangmai.
