The Methodist Evangelical Mission of Singapore began its ministry in Thailand with the purpose of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and engaging in various charitable missions. The establishment of educational institutions is considered an integral part of this mission.
The school was initially founded as a day-care center under the Department of Public Welfare. It was officially registered as Suan A-ngun Day Care Center on July 15, 2004, under License No. ชม.9/2547, with Mrs. Sangwan Yiao as the licensee. Later, the Muang Thai Mercy Foundation received approval to establish a kindergarten under the name Suan A-ngun Kindergarten School. The school began with a single-storey reinforced concrete building containing six classrooms and was officially permitted to offer kindergarten-level education on May 1, 2005, with Mrs. Sangwan Yiao serving as both school manager and principal. In its first academic year, the school enrolled 46 students and employed 8 teachers and staff members.
In 2008, a new four-storey school building was constructed to accommodate the expansion to primary education. The school received approval to offer primary-level education starting from the academic year 2009. Concurrently, the school changed its name to Vineyard Methodist School (VMS). As of the academic year 2025 (B.E. 2568), the school has been operating for 21 years, providing education from Kindergarten 1 to Primary Grade 6.
